Bookmatching is the practice of matching two (or more) wood surfaces, so that two adjoining surfaces mirror each other, giving the impression of an opened book. Generally used as timber veneers it is often featured in high-end furniture, musical instruments and even as panelling in some luxury motor vehicles.
